Process Paintings and Constructions, 1990-2

Once I started building stretcher frames in the studio, my sculptural sense asserted itself and I started stacking the canvasses.  At first I stacked one atop another to create a landscape type composition and then I started massing small, bare stretchers to create a wooden Parkay floor-type border on the bottom. The pieces then became more furniture-like with the inclusion of faux-wood graining.
