Hygiene Series
I recall an old John LeCarré novel, The Looking Glass War. This novel, like his other spy thrillers, reminds us that not only is the enemy remarkably similar to ourselves, but that in a complex game of information, disinformation, politics and perception, it is difficult to know which side you are on. I thought that a soldier stationed in the Diefenbunker and constantly having to be aware of security concerns, might have an existential moment while looking at himself in the shaving mirror and wonder. Here the security slogans echo and rattle through one of the few private moments he might otherwise enjoy.
The images are placed in the mirror housing and measure 18.5" x 21".
